What are type 2 diabetes symptoms (signs)? There are many symptoms, but before discussing about these signs, you should first clearly understand that the diagnosis of this disease is not easy in many cases which often will only be able to be diagnosed clearly if the other health complications have occurred!

In almost 2/3 of all type-2 diabetes cases, people with this disease don’t know or don’t realize that they have been living with it. And actually there is no a very or significant gradual development of this disease.
The common type 2 diabetes symptoms
By knowing these symptoms you will have a guide when you should ask to yourself whether you have type 2 diabetes or not, and then you can consider to get a proper diabetes testing immediately. One of very helpful ideas to lower your risk of the disease is by monitoring regularly the blood sugar of your body and making sure your blood sugar level is normal!
Like mentioned before, there is no very gradual development of type 2 diabetes symptoms. Therefore, you may not have any signs or symptoms if you have it, even for the next years or decades until the other complications have occurred.
As the progress of the disease, the blood sugar levels of people with type-2 diabetes will rise and then some symptoms will develop, particularly such as:
- Easy to get headache & fatigue.
- You feel frequent urination & dry mouth.
- You can feel hungry quickly (increased hunger).
- Eyes problems (blurred vision, which one of the serious complications of type 2 diabetes).
- Your ideal weight is easy to get loss without a clearly reason. This can cause weight gain or weight loss!
What else the symptoms or signs of type 2 diabetes?
Once again, there are many signs of this disease especially for the uncertain symptoms, which may include: you may get loss of consciousness, impotency, numbness of the feet or hands, yeast infection (especially if it occurs too frequently), changes like velvety dark skin (particularly changes of the groin, armpit & neck), a unfriendly itchy sensation on the skin (particularly around groin area), etc.
Doctors usually will take your blood sample to get and make a clearly diagnosis, and then your sample blood will be checked, especially for the sugar level. If the test result finds “7.0 mmol/L (126 mg/dL)”-of the fasting blood-glucose-level or higher, this means for the positive test result (a diagnosis of diabetes is resulted or made).
People with higher risk of type 2 diabetes
As well we know that there is still no clearly cause of type-2 diabetes, but in many cases it is more likely to attack or occur in:
- ‘South Asian’-‘Hispanic’-‘Aboriginal’-‘Asian’-or-‘South African descent’.
- People with high level of cholesterol.
- Women who have give birth to more than 9 pounds (4 kilograms) of a baby.
- Individuals who have the diabetes family history.
- The age is over than 40.
- People who have impaired fasting glucose & high levels of blood pressure.
- Women who experience gestational diabetes in their pregnancy.
- Individuals who are overweight!
