Protect Your Memory with Simple Ideas

We all are getting older, and along with accepting this condition - the performance of our memory is also getting fall off. Therefore, someday you may often forget to certain things! The memory loss is not only worried by older people, because nowadays it also can attacks at the earlier age of 20. Thankfully, there are also some simple things and helpful ideas to protect your memory in order to keep it sharp!

And the following are some easy steps and ideas on how to improve the performance of your memory and helpful to protect it, and keep it sharp!

Drink in moderation!

The risk of memory loss is high in a heavy tippler. But if you drink in moderation, you may contribute to yourself to reduce the risk of memory problems - according to an article published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s disease.

Do small things that you like!

During lunch, you can take a few minutes to do a web search for something that you are interested in (such as information about sports that you like or for your next vacation). According to a recent research in Las Angeles (University of California) -- This is easy step that you like, but may be useful to stimulate the part of frontal lobe (associated to short-term memory).

Doing and enjoying your internet search (but not just for mindlessly surf like just surfing Facebook) also may be helpful to make more active the neutral circuits associated in verbal skills, visual-spatial and decision making!

Exercise with simple eye movement

Do you often to easily forget where you parked your vehicle? If the answer is ‘yes’ then this exercise (simple eye movement) may be helpful for you; first get out of the car -> remember and notice where you parked your car -> then for 30 seconds try to stand in place -> and then move the eyes side-to-side for each 0.5 second. Doing simple eye movement regularly may be helpful to improve the long-term memory.

Get a regular exercise!

Having an intense workout will be helpful to promote good blood flow, get more energy for your brain from the conversion of glucose, and your brain can get adequate oxygen supply so thus it can work optimal.

Moreover, overall regular exercise is also good for the entire health of your body (there are a lot of healthy advantages that you can get by having regular exercise, so thus there is no reason why you don’t like to do exercise).

Be smart on choosing your breakfast (don’t ever miss it)!

You might hear frequently about how importance of breakfast but you may often miss it! You should know that skipping breakfast (especially for the carbohydrates) may give bad effects to the performance of the memory. A study from Tuft University found that individuals who skipped carbs from their diet menu experienced poor performance of memory.

Carbs is needed by the brain cells for the requirements of glucose. And adequate glucose is needed to supply adequate energy to the brain cells to keep in peak form.

So, don’t ever miss your breakfast! Make it better by choosing the right foods for your breakfast, like food with carbs that are slowly digested so thus can give contribution for a steadier stream of glucose. Some foods that are recommended for breakfast in order to help improving your memory and keeping it sharp are complex carbs, like whole grains.
