Cold Treatments (Simple Tips and Guide)

If you feel an achy body or a tickle in throat or even a cloudy head then you may be getting sick with a cold. Cold is one of the most frequently illness (average adults can get this disease three times a year) and it can often attack your body, especially in the rain season or winter.

So if you are getting sick with a cold, the following are simple cold treatments for you.

Drinking adequate water!

Drinking more water is so recommended once you feel any symptoms of a cold. You can also try drinking juice to eliminate the progress of stuffy nose or sore throat. Moreover, adequate water supply in your body is needed to keep well the performance of your immunity.

For better treatment, consider also to consume foods that contain more fluids, such as juice, hot-tea, for lunch – chicken soap is not too bad idea, and so on.

Use saltwater to gargle!

After feeling a certain symptom of a cold then you may feel a scratchy throat, and this can be very annoying. One of simple tips for this problem, you can add salt (half teaspoon) into a glass of water (warm water more recommended), then try to gargle with it.

The salt can give a significant contribution to draw out excess water (especially from your throat’s tissues), helpful to reduce irritant (particularly in the back of your throat), and also helpful to reduce the inflammation. Furthermore, the rinse with saltwater also can flush out viruses or bacteria.

Keep the cleanliness of your nose!

By keeping your nose clean will be useful to reduce the bad effect of cold symptoms. You can use a saline nasal spray -- use it once you feel cold symptoms as soon as possible. Take a hot shower if necessary, because warm moisture will be helpful enough to clear the nasal passages.

Take appropriately medicine!

You may think to go to a local drugstore and find or buy some drugs for your cold problem. But for more detailed information and in order to make sure you get the right medicine – it is much more recommended to contact your doctor.

Take adequate rest!

Don’t ever think and have opinion that cold is easy and not dangerous disease. This disease can be worse day by day if you don’t get adequate rest. Therefore much recommended for you to skip work if you can in order to make your body work better to fight off the virus.

But if there is no choice (you have to go in), make sure you steer clear of coworkers. Keep the cleanliness of your office room and don’t forget to keep clean your hands in order to eliminate the spread of germs. Use a disinfectant gel alcohol to wash your hand regularly if necessary.

Do a little activity if you feel a slightly better!

If you feel a slightly better, you can boost the immune system of your body more quickly by doing a light exercise (but the exercise that you choose should keep your heart rate under 100). The combination of this idea with the right nutritious foods (particularly protein-packed foods) that you eat will be helpful to boost your recovery.
