3 Healthy Holiday Tips for Your Travel

Holiday is one of the most fun activities but sometimes without adequate preparation, there are always the risks of yucky infections or nasty injuries.

So it is better also to consider the safety, especially for your health during holiday. Below are helpful healthy holiday tips for your travel.

Prepare and bring the first-aid essentials along with your travel!

Well, talking about the first-aid essentials then there are some that must be prioritized! Your first-aid essentials should have:
  1. Anti-thrush cream that will be helpful for individual who is prone easily to thrush.
  2. Something to soothe your dry eyes, like plain eye drops (you can choose antacids (like Mylanta)).
  3. A synergistic effect to treat different pains & aches (such as ibuprofen and paracetamol).
  4. Something to protect from bacterial infections (like Amoxycillin).
  5. Consider also to bring motion-sickness such as Travacalm or Kwells.
  6. And also don’t forget something for eliminate sunburn, bites or stings (you can use anti-inflammatory helpful-gel, like Nurofen).
In addition, if you choose to go to a tropical area for your holiday, some bottles of sun-block are one of the most essentials that you have to prepare as well. Re-apply sun-block at least once in 3-2 hours, especially for thin skin areas of your body, because thin skin is usually easy object for age spots.

Consider the amount hours of your sleep!

Always remember that your holiday should be helpful to make you more fun and release stress! But don’t forget to also consider the amount hours of your sleep. Make sure you get adequate the amount hours of sleep during your vacation.

For long flights, you may feel stiff because you sit for a long time in a cramped space of your seat. Therefore, while seated you can lower and raise your heels slowly, and even for better result you can try with walk down & walk up the aisle for a few times.

If you choose flying-economy class then you may fall asleep on the seat, but make sure you choose the right position on the seat, because in many cases, the seat can lead to a hunched position that can raise the risk of deep-vein thrombosis.

For long trip, once you arrive in your hotel, avoid hitting the sack immediately! But it is much better to adjust properly the time of your sleep with the local time.

Always consider what you are drinking and eating

Discussing a menu in a holiday is so complex, because there are a lot of foods and drinks to choose from. But whatever the foods and drinks that you want to consume, make sure all of them will be helpful to keep you fit during vacation.

Three helpful tips for you:
  1. It is much better to prioritize drinking bottled water (especially if you are still unfamiliar with the local area of your holiday), but if you want to choose tap water you should boil it first for better safety.
  2. Minimize or avoid eating any cooked foods that have been sitting out for a while, and it is better to choose one that has the presence of steam (it is the sign that indicates the food is fresh-hot enough).
  3. And if you find unpasteurised ice cream or milk, then it’s better to avoid consuming them!
