She was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 36 or in 2008. Well, it is unimaginable for most women when the only one choice is the thought of parting with 1 breast, let alone two! But this is something that was selected by Christina Applegate after the doctor told her that she had breast cancer (even though she was diagnosed with this disease in only one breast).
She said that the selection of mastectomy to decrease the chance & probability of this disease could come back or even spread again!
In coming months, Christina Applegate will get breast reconstruction surgery and she also has a good plan to create a helpful foundation, particularly purposed for any women who have high risk of breast cancer but cannot afford MRI testing.
Kylie Minogue
She is Australian pop star which was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, particularly at the age of 36! Her chance to defeat and battle the breast cancer almost lost due to a misdiagnosis.
In the second round of tests, her doctor got the lump in her breast (left breast). In 2007, she said to Ellen DeGeneres that “Just by reason of somebody is using big medical instruments and in a white coat doesn’t mean they’re always right”.
Sheryl Crow
A routine mammogram is so helpful for Sheryl Crow to catch the breast cancer as earlier as possible. She was diagnosed with this disease at the age of 44 - in 2006. She got her early detection when she was a walking advertisement. The early detection of her cancer was so helpful enough for her to skip chemotherapy.
