Well, generally this disease is divided into three known types that are; early-onset, late-onset, and FAD (Familial Alzheimer’s disease). The following are pieces of helpful information about these types!
First type is early-onset Alzheimer’s
This type is diagnosed occur in individuals before age-65! And early-onset can be categorized into a rare form of Alzheimer’s (only about 10 percent of patients have this type).
The risk of a form of early-onset type is relatively higher for people with down-syndrome (a common birth defect), because they experience and have premature aging.
Late-onset Alzheimer’s
Unlike early-onset type, late-onset type is the most common form of this disease (almost 90 percent of Alzheimer’s cases, which usually after age-65 -- particularly over the age of 85). This type is also called or known ‘sporadic Alzheimer’s disease’.
FAD (familiar Alzheimer’s disease)
FAD is a type that is also known or called to be entirely inherited, which can lead to members at least 2 generations will have Alzheimer’s disease. Fortunately, this type is extremely rare (only less 1 percent of Alzheimer’s cases). And for the onset is much earlier (commonly in the 40s), which usually can be clearly seen or not too difficultly caught to run in families.
